Slates

Slates will be listed here once the next election cycle begins. Slates are a form of political coalition inside the ASUCD for the express purpose of elections. They exist for one election cycle and are dissolved after the election concludes.

“Slates may be composed of up to three (3) senate candidates, or two (2) senate candidates and one (1) executive ticket. Slates may also include one (1) TSR candidate, one (1) ISR candidate, and one (1) EAVP in any combination, regardless of the number of senators and/or executive tickets on the slate, for a maximum of seven (7) candidates per slate.” - ASUCD Bylaws Section 1405(2)i-ii.

Slates are managed by a Slate manager. Slate managers are the individuals who fill out the Slate Declaration form and may or may not be a part of the Slate. Slate managers and Slate can accrue violation points regardless of candidacy status of the slate manager. If the Slate or Slate manager accrues enough violation points, the Slate and Slate manager will be disqualified and dissolved respectively. Slates can seek endorsements, run social media accounts, and conduct their campaign as a joint operation, as long as they do not violate any regulations set forth by the Elections Code.

Slate Manager information is listed alongside the priorities for each Slate. Candidates can join Slates before and during the petitioning period, however Slate alterations are not permitted after the end of the signature petition period is closed. Pages listing each Slate's membership will be linked to the name of the Slate.
